Exploring Nyaung Oo Phee Island, Myanmar Andaman Resort (3 days)

Myeik Archipelago covers about 36,000 sq km comprises more than 800 islands. These islands possess a wide diversity of flora and fauna and underwater coral reefs and marine life visitors can go on a tour of islands with scuba diving. The salones/sea-gypsies are taking refuge around Lampi Island in this area. Formerly called Victoria Point, Kawthaung, and the southern most town of Myanmar. Visitors can take private speed boat form Kawthaung or Ranong to the newly opened Myanmar Andaman Resort, own private island, 40 miles form the coast.

 

The following half-day Kayaking guided tour visits one of the most fascinating and beautiful islands within 10 kilometers of the Myanmar Andaman Resort. Guests are required to take adequate precautions to prevent sunburn, suggested items include: hat, sunglasses, sun block cream, long sleeve shirt.

 

ITINERARY: typical 1/2 day itinerary

Description:

This half-day of kayaking and adventure, departs from the Resort at 08.00 or 14.00, some 4 hours of adventure. We load the boat and head due south out of the bay. The half day is spent exploring Nyaung Oo Phee Island; activities include paddling amongst the islands and the many caves plus a swim and snorkel in the crystal clear water. Dense forests adorn these islands.

 

Note:  the order in which we explore may vary to suit conditions, especially locations affected by the tide. The route and activities for the tour will be discussed during the journey also, things of special interest made known.

 

Features:  Sea caves and rock formations, fascinating small islands, beaches, coastline, and forested areas.

 

ITINERARY: typical 3 day itinerary

 

Day 01

Full day of kayaking and adventure, depart the Resort at 09.30, load the boat and head due south. The day spent exploring Nyaung Oo Phee and Nga Htway Rue Islands, activities include paddling the many caves, snorkeling in crystal clear water and a chance to stretch your legs whilst waiting for lunch on a spectacular beach. Dense forests adorn these islands.

 

Day 02

Full day of kayaking and adventure, depart the resort at 09.30, cruise out of the bay and today head north up the east coast of Kayin Kwa. Continue on to Kyunn Sue and Lai Ywe Lay Lone Islands; explore the coastline by kayak, good places for squid fishing then lunch at some exotic location. Afternoon, dense forests to be seen, arrive Stag Horn Reef and check out the reef‘s ecosystem, gentle paddle and snorkel around this spectacular area. Finally, a site seeing cruise back to the resort.

 

Day 03

Full day of kayaking and adventure, depart the resort at 09.30, today we head west out from the home bay, then northwest. The morning spent exploring Ahtet Le Ywe Island by boat and kayak.

After lunch at some exotic location, continue northwest onto Nga Khin Nyo Gyee Island. It is so much to see and do as we circumnavigate this interesting small island with its many bays, beaches and reef. The afternoon spent paddling and snorkeling on the south and west side. Cruise back southeast across to Kayin Kwa (Resort Island) to take a sight seeing ride down the west coast before making our way home.
